Who We Are... MI-AHEAD was founded in 1987 as a state organization for professionals working with students and staff with disabilities in higher education. This
not-for-profit organization is committed to providing professional development
for service providers in order to enhance opportunities and assure full
inclusion in all areas of higher education.
What does MI-AHEAD do?
Who Would Benefit... Any
individual who is working or has worked, or has an interest in working
with persons with disabilities within higher education to enhance their
knowledge of disabilities and higher education (e.g., ADA coordinators,
high school special education teachers, counselors, administrators, psychologists,
social workers, orientation and mobility specialists, attorneys, disability
support services providers).
